Out of surgery
Eddie is out of surgery. They had to take a lot of tissue but he is ok, stable, heavily sedated. On ventilator. We will keep you posted
Eddie in surgery
Eddie had to have emergency surgery to try to remove infection in his leg. He will then be in icu. I will update everyone here. As much as I appreciate your individual emails please refrain from asking me questions there. Please no visitors.
2 steps forward one step back
Eddie is back at cedars. He had been complaining about his Achilles hurting him this afternoon. As the evening wore on it got worse and got to the point that he could not put any pressure on it or have anyone touch it. The dr suggested we bring him in to check it because there was a lot of redness and it was swollen. Another ride in the ambulance with no lights or sirens.
ER ruled out a blood clot and said it is cellulitis (infection). Because his immune system is so weak he needs to be on antibiotic through IV. So we will be here for a few days. Tomorrow am I have a friend coming as I must be somewhere for a few hours but visitors later might be possible.
Check with nancy still - nancy@nancyisaacs.com
Will keep you posted. Hugs

Another Day...More Eating
Well, the food is just way too good and the amount of time I am able to exercise is way too short. I remember why I work now... too much sitting around makes me too tired! Actually, its been pretty great time with Eddie and all of our friends who come by to bring food or share a meal with us. You are all wonderful and we are so so appreciative. Every day when Edith has asked this week "what are we doing for dinner?" its been so nice to say, "nothing, it will show up shortly". And I especially love being able to say that to Eddie for his lunches!!! How I underestimated the value of one less thing to plan!
We did have to make a little trip to the imaging center today to check Eddie's right leg which was hurting him the past couple of days. Turns out the right is fine but the left has a little blood clot in it. They are not concerned because it is below the knee and seems in tact but will put him on some blood thinners starting tomorrow when we go to visit his oncologist for a check in.
On the way to the imaging center, we made a little stop in to our newly renovated sanctuary!! It is so incredibly beautiful and we are so proud to call it our temple!! Here is a little picture from today and we hope you are all having a great night.
Keep the comments coming - we love reading them. Frank, your stories are hilarious and you better bring Tim something good tomorrow to keep it quiet for admissions!! Hilarious!!!

FROM EDDIE HIMSELF
Hearing from all of you perks me up. Good day today. Working on getting energy back.
All my love, eddie
I (Lorin) took the kids to camp drop off this morning. Dylan especially had a hard time last night and this morning at leaving but from what I can tell from the pictures so far, she is good. Tonight I sure feel for her counselor as it has not been the easiest of times for her lately but hopefully she can hold it all together! Matthew seemed off and running and after all, he has "woofie" with him! We had a restful day today for the most part and we are excited to think about eating again!!! lordy....
Have a great rest of the sunday and if anyone is around at 930-10 this week give Reuben a call to see if Eddie is available.. lowfat cap and muffin is always welcome!! Reuben is at 1-323-424-2190
much love to all....
keep those fun comments coming - Tim, you are winning for now...

Another Great day!
Eddie had a great day visiting with friends and watching the Dodgers! We ate too much great food! Reuben and Kelvin are with us through the weekend which is quite unreal as they have not had a day off with the 12 hour shifts. We are so grateful.
The kids are leaving for a week of camp. We will miss them but will enjoy some alone time at the same time.
For any of you wanting to visit, Eddie would love his medium lowfat cap and rasberry scone from Peets this week. Remember to let Nancy@nancyisaacs.com know if you can but as always, always, there is no pressure. Also, it doesn't require a long visit. Sometimes, less is more for him these days.
Eddie is liking my blog but said he would actually like to see and read some posts so please feel free to post any good wishes to him through this.
Most of all, we are so appreciative of the well wishes and support and love shown our family.
Thank you all!!!

Day One at home is a happy one!!
Eddie is loving being at home as we all are loving having him here!! He is loving all the treats and visitors and is being very well taken care of by Reuben during the day and Kelvin at night (these guys are strong!!).
He took a walk around the block with Reuben and had a super nice shower. Reuben had him doing his exercises too to get those muscles moving again.
Im so relaxed knowing he is well cared for and just glad to get my good night kisses again.
Hugs to all.....
